Smith Brothers Agency, a Pittsburgh-based independent, idea-focused marketing agency, was named the interactive agency of record for Dreyer’s frozen ice cream snack division, which includes The Skinny Cow, Nestle Drumstick, Eskimo Pie and Nestle Push-Up brands.  “We’re excited for the opportunity to develop digital and new media initiatives to help elevate these brands online and enable them to connect with their consumers in more relevant and meaningful ways,” said David Heidenreich, Director of Interactive Strategy, Smith Brothers Agency.  Work has begun immediately on two of Dreyer’s frozen snacks — Nestle Drumstick and The Skinny Cow brands. Focusing on developing relationships between parents and their children, Smith Brothers is currently redesigning the Nestle Drumstick website (www.drumstick.com), which will launch in mid-March.  “We are looking to design a new site that encourages and sustains a meaningful dialogue with our consumer,” said Mara Lowry, Drumstick Brand Manager. “It’s going to be highly engaging and will allow us to truly communicate with our Drumstick-loving families.”  Along with the new website, Smith Brothers will handle all online marketing creative and development for the Nestle Drumstick brand, including strategic planning, email marketing and a new online campaign for Nestle(R) Drumstick(R) Lil’ Drums(TM), the original Drumstick cone reinvented in a smaller, more convenient snack size.  Work has also commenced on The Skinny Cow, which will include website updates (www.skinnycow.com), social media initiatives and an online banner campaign for new The Skinny Cow Truffle bars in May 2009.
