The National Center for Health Statistics just released provisional data pointing to a potential mini-baby boom. While final details will be available in the fall, the early numbers report 4,315,000 births in 2007, the highest since 1957. The report supports the increasing trend in births — 3% between 2005 and 2006, the largest single-year increase since 1989.  “We’re experiencing history,” says Rebecca Matthias, president and chief creative officer of Motherhood(R) Maternity, the world’s largest retailer of maternity clothes. “The highest number of births in 40 years is monumental, and we love being a part of it by providing those moms-to-be with everything she could possibly need.” Motherhood Maternity can be found nationwide, in Canada, Puerto Rico, Guam and in all Destination Maternity(R) stores.
