MommyTalk.com, a social networking site for moms, recently held a virtual launch party for Wishpot Baby, a baby shopping space with a social twist. The virtual launch party was held in the MommyTalk chat room on July 9th and gave MommyTalk members and visitors a chance to chat live with Wishpot’s chief mom officer, Jessica Smith.  Party attendees with an active Wishpot account were also able to win giveaways from Mom Generations (formerly Pinks & Blues), Ely Organics, The Pear Project, GreatAupair.com, Sally Walker Design and toteandtee.com.  “We’re thrilled to share MommyTalk.com’s first-ever virtual launch party with Wishpot Baby. It’s such a great concept,” said Rachel Dunn, senior editor of MommyTalk.com.  MommyTalk members got an inside look at the new site with many of them providing feedback during its beta version.   Wishpot Baby’s free shopping service allows parents to shop anywhere and keep one registry. Parents can share their registry with family and friends, recommend favorite items, explore gift suggestions and ask for opinions and advice from mom experts.
